Hey Shelby,
I think I'm following in your footsteps! My story today sounds much like yours above, with the sore throat and all. Just woke up this morning and as the day went on it has continued to get worse. Thank goodness its almost the weekend.

So...got my debracing date this morning. Mine are coming off in 6 weeks. November 29th is my official debracing date. I too am jumping up and down like a bunny. woo hoo! This journey is almost over! We will be about 3 weeks apart I think! I'm so EXCITED! I just want these suckers off!

Wishing you well!

Shelby,
Congrats on your debracing date and your successful Operation B'day Suit. Sounds like things are settling into the new normal for you.

I am one week away from my MMA. This time next week I will be gorped out of my mind in ICU wearing a jaw bra - good times. Got all the hooks installed on my braces wires yesterday. Read all about the fun time at the orthodontist's office on my blog if you wish.

Thanks for your encouraging words and insight. It has helped more than you will know. hope that my blog can help someone else.

Peace,
Anne

Bravo! It is not easy to lose weight. That is a huge accomplishment. I once lost 40 pounds in only two months by rigid dieting and daily running. Unfortunately, I ended up putting it all back on, but then I lost it again, and I gained it back again...and now I have to lose it again (LOL). I guess if I have learned anything, it is to try to keep it off. You have to be stict with yourself. Try to avoid alcohol and junk food. Keep up the regular workouts (about 3x per week to maintain your weight).

Your photos look fantastic.

Best of luck

Woo Hoo! How exciting! Maybe we will get our braces off at the same time! I go see the ortho on Thursday and we are supposed to be setting a debracing date then. My goal is to be out of these suckers by no later then the beginning of November!

Congrats on your success with operation birthday suit.....important to remember though. Maybe Dr. Lee thinks looking like a chopstick is attractive! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and personally that "miss you if you turn sideways look" just doesn't do it for most of the guys I know. Doesn't he know that curves are totally in now! I mean come on! that whole waif thing is so passee! I bet you look great now, and that you are not "getting warmer" but are already smokin hot! LOL! I'm sure your darling Cort would agree with me!

So no more visits to the doctor for another year! Wow! mine has already written me off, I don't guess I see him anymore ever! LOL....
I wanted to ask you how your range of motion is coming along? Is it still pretty limited or is it getting better?

As for myself, I'm feeling pretty terrific! Got my energy back, sleep is fantastic! and I just feel like my old (prior to apnea ) self again. I definitely feel it has been worth it to reach this point.

So....what about you? How are you feeling now?
