I used to seek out the hurting souls....or if I couldn't find them I'd target the average loser, drug addict, junkies LOL... Found out that my Mosiah wishes were basically useless, that you can't help others unless they want to help themselves, and when we do, we are not really helping them, but enabling them to continue their "poor me" attitudes and lifestyles. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I have found through experience that it really is true. So.......stop being so darn nice would you! Your giving the rest of us a bad name! :) Hey Shelby,

Definitely not bitches. I was re-reading my post and I don't think I captured the feeling of...not despair, but almost as if he had completely given up on life. It made me sad...and also frustrated. Sometimes I want to see people grab their situations by the horns...hypocritical because I so rarely grab...but I think about grabbing! I know i COULD grab...it seemed like he was not even looking for something to grab at all...just sitting in quicksand and waiting to sink. So far I'm the only person who even considered giving him a ride...and I only considered it. So I guess I was reverting back to my codependent qualities. *sigh* I guess they'll always be there, just not at the forefront anymore (thank goodness). Kim, you know ALL ABOUT what hapens when I think I can "help" people (think ucsc and my time off). :) Go therapy!!!! You guys are too funny. Definitely not bitches.
